We're back from Bali and had a GREAT time. Going into it, we thought the trip would be a relaxing vacation and we'd spend it confined to our resort....but we ended up getting out and seeing quite a bit. Here are some pictures taken from our hotel.
The beach at Jimbaran Bay (the area we stayed at in Bali)
The main pool at our resort. This one overlooked the beach, but there were about 4 other pools that were all incredible.
There was a great walkway along the property, so we were able to take some nice (though somewhat short) walks and allow Finley to pursue her latest passion....bird hunting.
While Fin was playing at the playground one day and Dave was off fetching some cocktails for the two of us, Nolan and I spotted this huge lizard. Fin was thrilled to get peek, and chased him down until he got smart and found a good hiding spot. Only my kid is afraid of a gnat and not an alligator-sized lizard.
Happy kid.
Playing on the beach. Fin was a bit unsure of the waves (in her defense, they were quite big). Nolan, on the otherhand, would have been happy if we threw him the water and let him have at it.
Happy to play in the sand.
Another walk.
Nolan spends about 99% of his waking hours smiling. He was like a baby celebrity at the resort....everyone would come up to him and start baby-talking. Finley seemed both over-protective and maybe a tad jealous - she'd give all of his admirers a dirty look and say, "He's MY baby brother."
