Dave has been SLAMMED with work all summer, so we were thrilled that he took half the weekend off to play. We had a great time cramming in a TON of things, and despite running into traffic, full parking garages, expressway detours, going the wrong way around the marina and getting lost finding the monkeys, we made it everywhere we were hoping to go.....eventually.

The lake is just a mile or so east of our condo, but this is actually Fin's first time going to the beach in Chicago....or the USA for that matter. Most of the kids her age that we saw there were scared of the sand and/or water....but Fin LOVED it.
To wrap up Sunday Funday, we took Finley to Brookfield Zoo after her nap. We think if she knew how to speak, she'd tell us we are the best parents ever for planning such a great day. We think we're pretty awesome too.
